Well i finally got round to swapping an old ms28 drive i had in a RROD , and stuck inside of an 360 were the drive was bricked so i thought I would take this 360 and see if the new 360 Experience dashboard preview would install and function properly, well to be honest i couldn’t wait to get my hands on it…
!!!BE WARNED THIS WILL DISABLE YOUR CONNECTION TO XBOX LIVE UNTIL THE 19th NOV!!!
First impressions?.. could do with a nice theme!!

Download the preview update here.
Once you download the update, copy the contents to a USB memory stick, while youre xbox is turned on, push your usb stick into one of the front ports, the xbox should tell you that an update has been found and it wants to restart if you want to apply this update… just click restart and wait for the reboot, it will bring out the update blade and show you the progress of the install, after this it will reboot and launch the new Xbox Experience…
After messing around in the main dashboard looking for the themes, I decided that i wanted to see if any games still worked, so i put in my backup of dead space, and played about 20mins or so and pressed the guide button, I liked the newer smaller guide which is in the middle of the screen instead of the older slide out blade…
Its just a pity it disblabes the xbox live connection. Just hope it gets turned on again for the console once the update has been rolled out to everyone…
If you want to give it a shot, try it, but if you think youll miss live, then wait till the update is out…
either way it will come to us all eventually..

I have messed around with it put my personal pic as the background. But cant seem to figure out how to get rid of the Grey strip at the bottom of the screen, or at least make is see through something. any Ideas? Might have to wait till the 19th im going to guess.

im after the same thing as Krazie, i cant stand the grey strip at the bottom. ive brought a nice new theme and it cuts off half my pictures!!! does anybody know if you can get rid of it??
