I’m a newbee with little knowledge of Windows and PCs. Been on a Mac for 25+ years. I’ve checked out all the forums I can find only to discover there are very few replies to what appear to be reasonable and sane questions. Does anyone know of a decent forum for Hackintosh?

i tried your steps they are very help but am unable to boot MAC. i got 2 menu option when i select MAC option windows vista is booting not MAC what could be the problem.

r u sure we can install Mac properly along with vista with vista already installed…? does it work properly?

After the darwin screen and -v is entered, it gets stuck at a point where it says Still Waiting for Root Devices, and it keeps repeating this. Just before this is says warning: phy connection failed. status=0×0000000

Great tutorial. Leopard works on my HP DV9000 without any problems.
Only strange thing that happend during installation, was that installer hanged somehow in the middle of the process, when I was not touching anything for long time. Within the next try, i was moving the coursor, so everything went fine!

the reason it dose this is down to the Boot selection
as you can imagine, this could caused by vista, I would suggest a re-install of OSX, either that, it could end up with a total re-install, of both vista and OSX..

you could try BlckGeeks method & use the Gparted Live CD, to see if this can fix the error..

did you remember to copy over the “chain0″ file to the root of your vista install?

A little late now, but I have in the past managed to get OSX running in VmWare, allbeit slow as anything, but i did have it running successfully using an OSx86 install disc from somewhere.

It was quite a while ago so I don’t really remember the steps, but I know that there’s at least one tutorial out there for it (I think in Virtual PC, but easily migratible)

hi i did all the steps already but after i select Mac Os to boot up, it always go to windows. It never boot to Mac. Could you tell why it does so? And how can i boot to Mac OS.
