This will save you a lot of time and head pain trying to install unsigned apps.

This wont take longer than 10 minutes, if you read and execute properly.

Please download the following files from this link (Not my own files)

http://rapidshare.com/files/121640151/N95_Files.zip | 403 KB

Step 1:

Find Y Browser and Install it on your N95 (You wont have any problems it’s a singed App).

Step 2:

Find HelloCarbide.sisx upload and install it to your N95

Step 3:

Find the other two files named (installer.exe and cprofdriver_sisx.idd) Upload them using data transfer mode to any directory on your phone (Dont forget were you uploaded two) Sample : F:/Unlock

Step 4:

Open the Y-Browser
Click on the menu Key(Make sure Y-Browser is running in the background)
Find And Run HelloCarbide from the application folder
Now Hit Options > Menu 1
It should say Done..Probably
Now hit Yes
Scroll back to Y-Browser
Ok now copy the files from step 3 to the foloder C:/SYS/BIN

You may exit the Y-Browser before you copy the files, will have to turn your phone off and on and then repet step 4

Step 5:

When the 2 files are located in SYS/BIN turn your Phone Off and Then back on, Your now can install any unsigned apps (RotateMe, Etc)

  3. marty says:

Did you install it to the Phone memory or the SD card?

what to do is copy the .sis file to your memory card, then
go to your application manager, or Files browse to your sis file and click on it, it will install and ask were you want it.

    Select phone memory..

  21. ShadeyHK says:

    Hey Martin

    cannot run HelloCarbide . . . Options > Menu 1
program just stops and jumps back to application menu . . . nothing happens
so I never get the message “Done..Probably”

    also using Y Browser . . . cannot find c:/sys let alone c:/sys/bin
    nor can I create such folders c:/sys in Y Browser . . . i get . . . ErrNo: -46

So there’s no way of copying those files across.

however there is a c:/system folder . . . but unsure if it is any significance

Let me know if you can help cheers

  22. Funk says:

Hi Martin …. on my N95, while the bookmark manager seems to work going in via the web icon … when I click on “search internet and my content” from the front screen, there are a number of dodgy bookmarks which have attached themselves in the memory which do not appear in the bookmark manager so I cannot get rid of them (no option to delete from this path) … Also have cleared All cache etc to no avail….

Any ideas much appreciated. I am surprised I can’t find this elsewhere with Google.

    Cheers
